Plain of Jars Laos

Located in the northeast of Laos, Phonsavan is the starting point of a trip to one of the most mysterious archaeological discoveries of the country. Our trip to the archaeological site eight miles southwest of Phonsavan, a simple monastery is located, is a reminder of the pervasive poverty that exists in the region. At first it seems that several rocks piled high in the sky but are actually the legendary "Vases," hundreds of huge stone jars covering an area25 hectares.
