Think about what the cost would be to replace your battery for your power tools and any other rechargeable battery you have at home. It is said that 4 out of 5 batteries or also 98% of them, can be reconditioned back to life. What this means is you can potentially save yourself a lot of money by reconditioning them instead of buying new ones.
It does not matter what make or brand they are, they are still the same type of battery. Nor does it matter what the voltage is for the battery. As long as it is a NiCad battery you can recondition it back to life.
Unfortunately our batteries will not last forever, as we use them over a period of time recharging and discharging them, they become less able to hold a charge. Eventually they will not recharge at all and they get thrown away.
What is generally the cause of this is a buildup of crystal like deposits on the plates in the battery that hinders its ability to recharge. As the deposits get thicker over time the recharge capabilities get less to the point it will not work any more.
What reconditioning a battery will do is remove a lot of these deposits so it lets the battery hold a charge again. The process is easy and can be done at home with inexpensive tools you can buy locally. Help out your family and friends by reconditioning their batteries also and save them some money.
